About the Greater Victoria Climate Reality Hub

The Greater Victoria Community Climate Hub's mission is to build a bridge between citizens and their local and regional policy and decision makers, by facilitating a diversity of voices as a strong, organised group advocating and working with governments to implement urgent and effective climate action.  Members strive to learn, understand, and curtail the effects of colonialism.

This region spans the traditional territories of over 20 First Nations, all of whom have a long standing relationship with the land and waters from time immemorial and continuing to this day.  These First Nations include:  Songhees, xÊ·s epsÉ™m (Esquimalt), WJO E P (Tsartlip), BO EĆEN (Pauquachin), SÁ UTW (Tsawout), WSIKEM (Tseycum), MÁLEXE (Malahat), Sc'i anew (Beecher Bay), T’Sou-ke, Pacheedaht, and Pune’laxutth’ (Penelekut).

We meet bi-weekly to support one another, advance our projects, provide updates on events and actions within the climate activist community, and inform each other on current issues and resources. Meetings are casual, personal, and fun!
